No woman is safe in the world of Story of White Coat: Indecent Acts (Hakui monogatari: Midasu!), another carnal 
comedy from the Nikkatsu Corporation. This time out, every single man on earth is apparently a sex-crazed maniac regardless of age or social standing, and woe be unto any of the female hospital staff who try to get their jobs done without being jumped around every corner. Worst of them is Junior, the chief administrator's son, who winds up drinking himself to the verge of death and being admitted to his dad's hospital. Soon he's up and about, saying things like "I'll give you a big thick shot. It works very well." He has a particular eye for our heroine, nursing trainee Shinobu (Asami from Female Prisoner: Caged!), whom he even talks into shaving his nether regions (thanks to an outbreak of crabs on the floor) before pouncing on her. What's a girl to do? Even in time off at the local nurses' disco, where public lewdness seems to be the norm. Fortunately she has another amped-up admirer who might be her salvation, at least before she gets swallowed up by this den of depravity.
That synopsis really only covers the second half of this film, which runs less than an hour but still crams in a lot of ridiculous depravity. The first half is basically one string of sex scenes after another revolving around the hospital staff (where the nurses apparently encourage assault as a kind of hazing as well), with Shinobu wandering the streets wondering how far she'll have to go to realize her dream career. Still active today, director Hidehiro Ito wasn't the most prolific Nikkatsu helmer but did turn out a couple of notable efforts including Debauchery and one of the Apartment Wife films. He keeps things moving briskly here, and while the artistic level never rises above your average softcore '80s 
sex comedy, it's energetic and raunchy enough to certainly grab your attention.
This actually represents the second nurse film in a row for Impulse Pictures' line of Nikkatsu releases, coming hot on the heels of Nurse Diary: Wicked Finger. As usual, the video quality is very good, though the film itself is less colorful than most of its peers. Many scenes take place in 
dark or heavy blue lighting and have a kind of grayish cast, but that's just the nature of the production itself. The optional English subtitles are, as always, utterly astonishing, and the theatrical trailer is also included.
In keeping with Impulse / Nikkatsu tradition, two films are always released at the same time as standalone releases, and this time our second disc is the boldly titled Horny Diver: Tight Shellfish (Zetsurin ama: Shimari-gai), the line's second diving girl title after the cheerfully ridiculous Nympho Diver: G-String Festival. Once again we have a quirky fishing village beset by lusty mania, as rival topless pearl divers are forced to work together when a greedy real estate developer sets his sights on their hometown. He even sends in a stud named Junpei to shake things up enough for the tycoon to swoop in and take things over, but the girls have another plan in mind.
And that's pretty much it for the story here for what amounts to another sex comedy crammed with nudity and perverse goofiness, which actually reaches its apex early on with an extended nightclub sequence in which the locals get together to enjoy activities like drinking liquor that's been siphoned up into a young woman's nethers and fired back through a straw, a claustrophobic fate for a small octopus, and fun and games with human-conducted electricity. It's easily one of the wildest moments in the Nikkatsu DVD line so far, and the film does its best to keep the ribald tone going all the way to the cheerful ending. Judging from the trailer included on the DVD, this was the film "introducing" star Megumi Kiyosato, who only went on to make a 
couple of additional films. Her odd resemblance to Kristy McNichol (complete with feathered hair) probably didn't help her softcore career take off, but she's charismatic enough and works well with seasoned pro Asami Okawa, familiar from favorites like Erotic Diary of an Office Lady and the astounding Star of David: Beauty Hunting.
The a/v quality here is about the same as the title above, as both of them come from Nikkatsu's mid-'80s period in which budgets were lower, running times were shorter, and wide scope was out of vogue. The squishy sea life looks clear as a bell, and the landscape shots are attractive enough while the rampant flesh tones appear to be accurate. The packaging for both discs indicates liner notes by Jaspar Sharp, which weren't enclosed in either of the titles sent for review; presumably they're up to his usual high standards and shed plenty of light on the unique erotic fixations on nurses and diving girls explored in both of these wild, sex-filled curios.
